The Other Side of Tomorrow, a Marineo Pictures release written and
directed by Joseph Pernice. The story follows Peter Pierce (Lawrence Grotts),
a self absorbed workaholic, who is concerned about two things in life- work and
money. But this attitude constantly leaves his family in the shadows. One week
before Christmas, Peter receives an unexpected knock at his door. It is Robert
(George Bere), his father, the man whom he hates most
in life. Robert is seriously ill and does not have much time left. In his
remaining days, he wishes to spend Christmas with his grandchildren and the son
he never truly appreciated. During Robert’s stay, Peter begins to view life in
a new light and realize the things which are truly important. Compelled by the
spirit of Christmas, Peter embarks on an emotional journey with his family
which will ultimately change him for the better.
The
Nothing Man, Ides of March Productions written and directed by Joseph Cassaro. The story follows
John Cleary (Lawrence Grotts), a third-generation
Irish blue-collar dock worker whose life gets turned upside down by the stock
market crash of 1929. John has to decide whether or not he will succumb to the
depression or fight for survival. This is a tale of the struggle one man will
go through to provide for his family.
Cod Farthing, a Sputnik Films release, written and directed by Matt Gossett.
Cod Farthing (Lawrence Grotts) is the world’s most
sought-after celebrity. Incognito, he visits the home of Shelly (Amanda
Conlon), an unsuspecting single mother, opening his own eyes to her “truly
inspirational” domestic lifestyle. Cod Farthing examines the stories of several
celebrity fanatics, exposing hope, lies and the commercialism of reality.
Currently,
LG is filming 2021, written and directed
by Brian Tyson for L.I.U. Productions and the One11 Films release, Epiphany,
written by Anthony J. Mangano and directed by Vincent Biscione. All five films will be screening and going to
festivals worldwide, 2009-2010.
Lawrence
has been casted and will start filming in June the
Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese’s HBO project Boardwalk
Empire (teaming with Mark Wahlberg and
Stephen Levinson of Entourage fame) with a pilot teleplay by Sopranos writer/producer Terence Winter. Primary roles have gone to Steve Buscemi (Delirious,
Fargo, Reservoir Dogs), starring as Nucky Johnson; Kelly Macdonald (Trainspotting, No Country for Old Men); Michael Pitt
(Funny Games, Delirious, Dawson’s Creek);
Vincent Piazza (Rocket Science, The
Sopranos); and Michael Shannon (2008 Academy Award nominee for Best
Supporting Actor, Revolutionary Road).
Based on the book "Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption
of Atlantic City" by Nelson Johnson. The story… It's
1920, the dawn of Prohibition -- and a new window of opportunity for the thugs
and gangsters in Atlantic City, who scramble to establish their supremacy in
the booming new empire of organized crime.
